About the Student Residential Hall

The Student Residential Hall is located on the Tuen Mun campus. Bedrooms on the 2/F and 3/F are allocated to male residents, while others on the 4/F, 5/F and 6/F are allocated to female residents. Approximately 190 places are offered to our students each year.

Bedrooms are fully furnished. Each resident is assigned one single bed, a mattress, a 3-layer drawer pedestal, a wardrobe, a bookshelf, a desk and a chair. Communal facilities include a laundry room, pantries, shower rooms and toilets. Each pantry is equipped with a water dispenser, a microwave oven, a refrigerator and a first aid box.

The residence fees includes payment of water supplies, electricity, Wi-Fi and wired Internet connection. Residents bear the air conditioning expenses of their bedrooms and laundry fees. The unit rate of related charges is detailed in the section under “Facilities and Services”.

FACILITIES AND SERVICES

Pantry

There is a pantry on each floor. Each pantry is equipped with an air-conditioning top-up machine, chairs and tables, a trash bin, a water purifier, a microwave oven, a refrigerator and a first aid kit. Cooking is not allowed in the hall.

Common Room 

The Common Room (D101b) is located on 1/F in the Student Residential Hall. Opening hours: 24 hours daily.

Communal facilities and equipment are available for resident use in the Common Room, including a digital TV, a microwave oven, a drinking fountain, a vending machine, chess and card games. Please keep the room clean and tidy and reinstate after use.

Washing and Drying

The Laundry Room (D101a) is located on the 1/F in the Student Residential Hall. Opening hours of washing and drying are between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. daily.

Hall activities

There are plenty of cultural, festive, and explorational events that integrates residents with the local culture. Residents are free to join activities or even form their own societies.
