The online applications of the scheme has been opened. The whole application procedure can now be completed in two easy steps.
Not holding a personal Octopus – new application for student status
1. Submit online applications by MTR Mobile / MTR website
You can now complete application form online and upload an image of their valid student ID card, with no need to get the physical school endorsement anymore.
2. Activate the “Student Status” by using the Octopus App
Notification with instructions will be sent to successful applicants.
Already holding a Personalized Octopus – New Application/Extension of Student Status
1. Submit application and upload student ID card* on MTR Mobile
2. Receive the confirmation email and pay the $20 application fee on the Octopus App to activate student status
