The first career related event of JINESS, a career talk was held on 7 March 2017 at Chu Hai College of Higher Education on the civil engineering and architecture industries. Two guest speakers, Ir Prof Adam S.C. Choy, Deputy Managing Director, Meinhardt (C & S) Ltd and Mr. Franklin Yu, Director, Singular Studio Ltd. shared the development and future prospects of the respective industries.
During the talk, the two guest speakers advised students that being a good team player, having a sense of commitment and responsibility and with passion for work are crucial elements contributing to workplace success. Key elements on job application and interviewing skills were also shared from the perspectives of a senior management. The talk ended with an interactive Q&A session. Feedback on the talk was positive.
