  1. Eligibility
    a. Student Lockers are only open to full-time students (non-Hall residents will be given priority).
    b. Applicants should provide a valid student ID and personal identification for application verification.
  2. Application Process
    a. Application Period: 9 – 18 September 2024.
    b. Applicants should fill in the “Online Form” enclosed in the email with subject “AY2024/25 Student Locker Application.”
    c. If the number of applicants exceeds the available quota (140 lockers), availability will be determined by lot drawing.
    d. Application results will be sent to successful applicants by email.
    e. Successful applicants must complete the relevant procedures within one week (23 – 27 September) at the Student Affairs Office (D101) and settle the deposit payment at the cashier next to the Registrar’s Office. College staff will verify the student’s identity and qualifications and collect a deposit of HK$500.
  3. Rules and Regulations
    a. Locker usage period is from 30 September 2024 (Monday) to 30 May 2025 (Friday).
    b. Students must sign an agreement for the following rules:
    i. Lockers are for storing personal belongings only. Illegal items, flammable materials, and other dangerous items are not allowed.
    ii. Students must clear all items from the locker before the end of the usage period.
    iii. If students do not clear the locker, the Student Affairs Office has the right to deduct the deposit and confiscate the items in the locker..
  4. Deposit
    a. Students must pay a cash deposit of HK$500 at the cashier.
    b. If students do not clear the locker before the end of the usage period, the following deductions will apply:
    i. First week: Deduction of HK$100 (from 31 May to 6 June 2025).
    ii. From the 8th day onwards, HK$50 will be deducted each day until the deposit is exhausted.
    c. If the deposit is exhausted and the student still has not cleared the locker, the Student Affairs Office has the right to dispose of the items without notice.
  5. Refund of Deposit
    a. If students clear the locker before the end of the usage period and there is no damage, the full deposit will be refunded.
    b. The refund will be processed within 10 working days after the Student Affairs Office verifies that the locker is cleared.
  6. Other Regulations
    a. Students must bring their own locks.
    b. Students can only use the lockers assigned to them.
    c. Students are responsible for the cost of maintenance and repairs for damaged lockers.
    d. If students lose their lock key due to their own reasons, they can not cut the lock themselves. They must seek Student Affairs Office for assistance. The Student Affairs Office will report to the Campus Management Office – Facilities Management Division, and the relevant department will handle the lock cutting, with a fee of HK$50 for this service (This cost will be deducted in the deposit).
    e. The Student Affairs Office of Hong Kong Chu Hai College reserves the right to adjust and interpret this rules and regulations without prior notice.
