In the beginning of Chinese New Year in 2025, Student Affairs Office organized the “The Golden Dragon and Lion Dance Performance” on 11 Feb 2025, aiming to bring good fortunes to all students and staff as well as to celebrate this significant festival and also promote traditional customs.
The event was hosted by two Student Ambassadors as MCs. The officiating guests included Ms. Jane ZHANG, the Interim President, Mr. CHEN Liangyong, the Vice President (Administrative) and Prof. Robert LI, the Associate Vice President (Academic). They officiated the ceremony by eye-dotting and head decorations for the golden dragon and lions. Chinese New Year Lucky Bags for the Year of the Snake were distributed, symbolising good luck, fortune and wealth.
