To celebrate the New Year’s Day of 2025, Hong Kong Chu Hai College held a National Flag-raising Ceremony on campus on 1 January 2025.
The ceremony was supported by The Hong Kong Road Safety Association. The flag-raising team consisted of nine flag bearers from Precious Blood Secondary School, who have previously won the Hong Kong Foot drill Championship, with several senior officers who entered the venue solemnly with Chinese-style marching. With the national flag hoisting accompanied by the National Anthem of the People’s Republic of China, participants stood in front of the national flag and respectfully faced the flag poles. To show the appreciation for the support by The Hong Kong Road Safety Association, Ms. Hoo Tat Ling, Associate Registrar of Hong Kong Chu Hai College presented a souvenir to Dr. Ho Wing Tim, BBS, MH, from the Promotion and Publicity Department of The Hong Kong Road Safety Association.
Hong Kong Chu Hai College will keep holding the Flag Raising Ceremony on 1 January (New Year’s Day), 1 July (HKSAR Establishment Day) and 1 October (National Day) every year, hoping to strengthen the sense of national identity and patriotic feelings among staff and students. This will also promote students’ all-rounded development and social responsibility.
