Diversity and New Beginnings HKCHC Orientation Welcoming Fair 2025/26

On 9 and 10 September 2025, Hong Kong Chu Hai College successfully hosted its Welcoming Fair, marking the commencement of the new academic year. The two-day event attracted over a thousand participants, providing new students with a vibrant and engaging introduction to campus life through a diverse range of interactive experiences and practical resources.

The fair received strong support from prominent organisations, including Bank of China (Hong Kong), Bank of Communications (Hong Kong), Hong Kong Gold Coast Hotel, MTR Corporation, Hong Kong Road Safety Patrol, China Mobile Hong Kong Company Limited, Nina Hotel Tsuen Wan West, ICAC Ambassador Programme, and Magazines International (Asia). These partners provided valuable information on financial planning, communication services, accommodation, and extracurricular activities, assisting both local and non-local students in acclimatising to campus life and the pace of Hong Kong. College and student groups also promoted various recruitment initiatives, including the Student Ambassador Programme, Sports Teams and student societies, encouraging new students to embrace a multifaceted college experience.

Interactive booth activities served as a a major highlight, allowing students to design their own tote bags, take instant photos, and receive gifts from gachapon machines. More than a thousand orientation gift packs and limited-edition T-shirts were distributed, offering both practical and commemorative value.

Ms. Jane Zhang, Interim President, Prof. Hon S. Chan, Vice President (Academic & Research) and Prof. Robert Li, Associate Vice President (Academic & Research), attended the event and participated in a symbolic apple-giving session, wishing students a safe and successful academic year. Additionally, seminars led by the ICAC and Hong Kong Police Force enhanced awareness of corruption and telecommunication fraud, reinforcing the College’s commitment to nurturing responsible and well-informed citizens.
