The IOT Data Hackathon 2025 is organised by GS1 Hong Kong in collaboration with Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited and The Hong Kong Science and Technology ParksCorporation, with Digital Policy Office (DPO) as the funding organisation.

Key details of the scheme are as follows:

Objective	Make use of IoT data to empower business decision and create business impact Encourage the adoption of data tools to build solutions to real world problems Recognise outstanding & innovative solutions Connect businesses with young talents and entrepreneurs
Challenge Themes	Demonstrate the use of IoT alternative data to tackle business challenges in one of the below themes Smart Business Develop smart solutions that can help businesses tackle pressing issues, operate more efficiently, make informed decisions, better serve their customers, and drive growth. Smart Living Develop innovative solutions that address the needs and desires of modern living, enhance our daily experiences, improve quality of life, and promote sustainability within our homes and communities.
Streams	Student Stream: Tertiary students in Hong Kong Remarks: Each team can be formed up to 6 teammates. At least 1 teammate is expected to show up at designated venue physically to present their proposal for the hackathon final. To avoid conflicts of interest, applications from sponsors’ companies will not be accepted.
Application Deadline	20 Dec 2024 *Applicants who complete the IOT Data Hackathon 2025 application form by the “Application deadline” on 20 Dec 2024 and submit a proposal by the ‘Initial Submission’ on 16 Feb 2025 will receive a “Certificate of Participation”.
